Sintia Molina examines the term |Naturalism| from a cultural, social and political perspective. She shows that Cuban writers appropriated the European aesthetic to develop it into an ideology that dominated Cuban narrative for decades, until it evolved into a characteristically Cuban form of artistic expression.
